17 June 2007 – Cheshire Motor Festival – Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village – Ellesmere Port
The weekend of 16th-17th June 2007 saw the first Motor Festival of it’s kind at the McArthur Glen complex at Cheshire Oaks nr Ellesmere Port. With Russ Swift already having performed on 4 and 2 wheels on Saturday 16th June, it was the turn of The Dave Coates Stunt Show on the Sunday to wow the crowds with his 4, 2 and even 1 wheel Stunt Show. 14 May 2003- World Donuts Record - MFN Nightclub - Nr Ripley
Dave attempts to break the unofficial World Record, held by fellow Stunt Rider and friend Gary Rothwell, for the most donuts in one minute. This is a very difficult record to break as it puts a lot of stress on both the machinery and rider. The attempt was to be made at a local biker's haunt called MFN (read the report!) in Ripley in Yorkshire. Click the image to see how he did.

28 October 2002 - World Backwards Speed Record (single and pillion)
Would the horrendous weekend weather stop Dave from attempting to break the World Record for top speed backwards riding? The bike was prepared (an R1 with s specially cut-out fuel tank), Dave arrived, optimistic as ever and the small invite-only crowd were excited at the prospect of Dave beating his own record. On arrival, Dave announces that he is also going to attempt the backwards record with pillion too, much to wife Sandra's surprise! Click the image to see how they did.
